Maria Porges

Maria Porges, an artist and writer, is an Assistant Professor at CCA in Fine Arts and Interim Chair of the Visual and Critical Studies Department. She received a SECA award from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and has twice been in residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts. Porges’ critical writing has appeared in many publications, including Artforum, Art in America, Sculpture, American Ceramics, Glass, the New York Times Book Review and more than 60 exhibition catalogues. She is currently represented by Collette Blanchard Gallery in New York.
