Publishing and Marketing Strategies: Deborah Kirshman

As Art History editor at the University of California Press, Deborah Kirshman acquired over 200 titles from authors in the U.S. and abroad. She also directed UC Press’s museum co-publications program, which develops major art books in partnership with museums throughout the country. Kirshman will share her insider’s perspective on publishing in the arts today and discuss strategies for developing book concepts, as well as, writing queries and proposals.
