Now that I’ve finished my thesis, how do I get it out into the world? How do I find a publisher? What are the steps in the process? What is the difference between being published in a periodical and getting a book to press? Where do I even start?

Ellen Birell: co-founder, publisher and editor of X-TRA, A Contemporary Arts Quarterly
Amanda Field: Former Managing Editor of Zyzzyva literary journal, she is a writer, blogger, and teacher based in San Francisco.
Ethan Waters: A San Francisco freelancer and co-founder of the San Francisco Writer’s Grotto, whose work has been published in The New York Times Magazine, Spin, Details, Mother Jones, GQ, Esquire, and The San Francisco Chronicle Magazine, among others.
